Mei is a former elite track athlete. Following an accident in which she was struck by a fast-moving car, she lost function in her right leg and now uses a wheelchair. She becomes fast friends with Reiji and Getsu after they save her from drunks in the Masquerade, later meeting and befriending Kei after the boys introduce the two following a major incident.
