OKEN: Childhood Memories of a Taiwanese Poet
Synopsis
Oken's youth almost ended in the flames of history. Forced to flee Taiwan to escape American bombs, the young boy and his family found refuge in the mountains. But Oken has a weapon like no other to combat melancholy: poetry. It is this very poetry that allows him to perceive the beauty of the world and understand that life is like a water spider: fragile, yet so elegant and fascinating.
