In a world where the mystical power of glyphs resides, Ban is born with the "Sura's Mark," said to be the most devastating mark ever. The Sura's Mark possesses a singular power: it inevitably brings destruction. A mysterious sorcerer, intent on destroying his world, attacks Ban, forcing him to lose those dear to him and trapping him in a subspace completely cut off from the present world. Trapped in a swamp of despair known as fate, he yearns for death, but his seething rage refuses to allow it. After 999 long years of vengeance, Ban finally awakens the true destructive power of the Sura's Mark, destroys the subspace, and emerges into the present world.
