Ben is leader of the first platoon in Riki's pack. He is strong, patient, wise and loyal to the great Leader. Before he joined the group, Ben was a hunting dog in the town, Kofu. Ben's good heart and thoughtfulness towards other dogs in the past turns out to be at his favor, when he seeks them out to make them join the fight against Akakabuto. In Ginga Densetsu Weed, Ben has grown old and his puppies have grown up to be solid warriors of Ou.
