A cheerful, if often absent-minded, shipgirl based on the real-life Japanese cruiser Atago. Her sister ship is Takao.
In the Shimakaze Tsumujikaze no Shoujo manga, she serves as Admiral Sumire Aosaki's secretary and turns down her romantic advances. She also has a tendency to slack off, which causes her sister to do her job for her, something which causes the two to occasionally make snide remarks at each other.
