The wife of Namji and mother of Tsunomi, she is the daughter of Himiko, the Queen of Yamatai. Following Namji’s disappearance, she moved to Izumo (Ōtoma) to serve as the guardian of her youngest son, Tsunuhiko. Tagiri’s character is based on Takiribime, one of the three Munakata goddesses in Japanese mythology (mangapedia.com)
