Jan Boltz

Nationality: East German

Jan Boltz is one of Joseph Bernhard’s closest friends, as a fellow retired diplomat. Boltz now works as a part-time advisor. Boltz took care of Jürgen since he was a child and was very supportive of him and Iris when Joseph was hospitalized.

As Jürgen got older, he stayed as Jürgen’s driver and Jürgen views him as one of his few allies. As Boltz understood East Germany’s situation, Jürgen used him as a sounding board for both personal and political decisions. Boltz drives a red Wartburg which he services himself.
