Viola is a pilot of the 642nd Squadron in the North Polish Army Group. Previously, the small amber haired girl was Pham's classmate at the military academy. While Pham experienced bad discrimination growing up, Viola believed East Germany's internal problems were the fault of Vietnamese people and other immigrants, leading to worse racism than she'd experienced before. The two despise each other in many ways.
As a part of the North Polish Army Group, the two had fought hand-in-hand with a Polish squadron and had survived a battle where all of the Polish pilots were taken out. As a result, Viola and her entourage are obsessed with rescuing as many Polish refugees and pilots for the sake of paying back those pilots they befriended.
