Zabimaru (Male)

Zabimaru is the name of Renji Abarai's Zanpakutou. Their spirit takes the form of a white baboon with a snake as it's tail. The two intelligent beings have separate personalities, and are competitive between one another. The Baboon is seen as the calmer creature, being far more relaxed in expressing his desires, whereas the Snake is more impertinent and isn't afraid to berate its wielder.

In an anime original arc, during the Zanpakutou Rebellion initiated by Muramasa, Zabimaru takes on a new manifestation of two separate, humanoid beings; an adult woman and a small boy with a snake's tail. The boy is attached to the female's waist by a black chain that is connected to a collar on his neck and nicknamed Hebi, while the woman is nicknamed Saru. Saru and Hebi are very critical of Renji, calling him a moron and claiming he is weak. Both Saru and Hebi have fangs.

He is rarely serious in conversation and gets angry at Saru when she reprimands him for this. He dislikes being constantly tied to Saru and Renji, wishing to be free from them both. Hebi is also known to be fascinated by frogs and get easily distracted by wildlife and enjoys getting time to laze about and eat lots of food.
