Zato is a recurring character in the Guilty Gear series. Born in Spain, Zato was a member of the Assassin's Syndicate. He later went on to sacrifice his own sight in order to obtain more power, having the Forbidden Beast Eddie attached to him, granting him shadow manipulation abilities.
