Fumiya Tomozaki is a high school student who is a friendless loner and an outcast in school. Tomozaki sees himself as a "bottom-tier character" in life: someone born unlucky and destined for loneliness. However, after meeting his online rival, Aoi Hinami, he agrees to learn from her how to socialize and improve himself, treating life as a game to be mastered.
