Her age and place of birth are unknown. She has long, black hair and jade eyes, and it is she who greets you when you first awaken in the mansion.

The Maid calls you the "Master" of the house, and at her invitation, together you bear witness to a variety of events that took place within these walls. Shadows of her presence are visible in each of the tales. At times, she is there, and others... nowhere to be found. Though she treats you kindly, her hands are cold as ice, seemingly devoid of life. How, then, is she here now, with you? "No matter what happens, you mustn't let go of my hand."

~!At the end of the fourth door, it is revealed that the maid is the actual Giselle and that she was not waiting for the White Haired Girl's reincarnation, but instead, she was waiting for Michel's.!~

~!In the fifth door is revealed that Giselle was repeatedly raped by Antonin Bollinger, the head of the Bollinger family. When it was found out by Antonin's wife, Giselle got banished from the city, being forced to ride to an isolated mansion- where she's first meeting Michel Bollinger. Although the relationship between Michel and hers started off badly, in time they developed a very deep and sincere friendship. After a whole year of sharing lives together, Giselle confessed to him that she loves him, and the two began having a romantic relationship. !~

~!When people are bursting into the mansion to execute Michel, he pleads Morgana to save Giselle. Morgana locks Giselle in the observation room, not letting her going out and save Michel. Only after Michel was executed and was dragged out from the mansion, Morgana finally let Giselle go out of the observation room. When Giselle's sinking into grief and thinking of having a suicide, Morgana finally started talking to her, promising her to meet with Michel once again in his next reincarnation if she will aid her treating the mansion. Giselle agrees, therefore becoming the maid.!~

~!Giselle waits in solitude for Michel's reincarnation to arrive for hundreds of years, eventually donning the garb of the Maid per Morgana's recommendation. Eventually, Mell and his family move into the house, and later the White-Haired Girl arrives. With her memories hazy, Giselle believes the White-Haired Girl, her actual name is Michelle, to be Michel's reincarnation, but Michelle has no memories of her. Giselle becomes emotionally numb, watching the tragedies of the mansion unfold with little reaction. Michelle's continual reincarnations only serve to torture Giselle further, until Morgana convinces her that she's always been the Maid and that her past memories with Michel aren't real.
It is only when Michel came back to the mansion that she's finally realizing who she truly is and for whom she's been waiting for. !~
