Katze is Jürgen’s childhood and best friend. The chestnut-haired Katze is from Pankow, where his family owns a small bakery.
Katze followed Jürgen to Rosenthal High School and later the Air Force Civilian Academy after graduation, and the two remain joined at the hip throughout their careers along with Yauch and Vikman. He is an optimist with a cheerful personality, which Jürgen says saved him during the worst of his struggles.
