He is a Divine Dragon and child of the Divine Dragon Monarch Lumera. Alear is said to have participated in the war against the Fell Dragon Sombron. In the aftermath of the war, he sustained heavy wounds and was put into a deep slumber. Housed in the Somniel, over a thousand years, the people of Elyos would worship Alear as the Divine Dragon.

~!Later in the story he is revealed to be one of Sombron's children, a Fell dragon. Lumera found him alone, feeling his loneliness and lost over his life, he was taken by her care.!~

~!He is the person Veyle was searching for, her big Brother. Alear gave his dragonstone to her as a memento and promise to always be together despite their distance. However it was broken after Alear lost his life, yet after be revived as the Fire Emblem they don't need it anymore as they found each other.!~
