Old Man Hagi appeared in two episodes of the Pokémon anime.
In episode 18, his Camome, Peeko, was captured by a member of Team Aqua, the same one responsible for stealing from the Devon Corporation the episode before. Satoshi and his friends helped to save Peeko and return it to Hagi. As a way of thanking them, Hagi gave them a ride to Muro Town on his boat. In episode 19, Hagi was with the group when Takeshi helped an injured Samehader. At the end of the episode, Hagi dropped the group off at Muro Town.
